In your guided editor you can choose different types of questions, such as open ended, multiple choice, file upload and statement.
Each type of question can help you in collecting the proper information from your auience. Keep in mind that all the questions are still generated by the AI, so the way how you give instruction to the AI might affect the actual behaviour of the quesion types.
Let’s have a look together to the different question types and how to properly prompt these questions.
When a question requires people to choose from a list of options, you need a Multiple Choice option. It is an essential feature that allows you to gather information quickly and enables respondents to answer with ease.
When you choose the multiple choice type, you will be able to add different options and customize their order. You can ask the AI to propose some options too.
The maximum number of options allowed in the Guided Editor is 8.
In the instance your question require a multiple selection, you can enable this option by clicking on the Multiple Select button on the right side of the drop-down question type menu.
It’s always a good practice to write the question about the multiple choice clearly, and not too long, in order to avoid that the AI will not be able to properly show the different options.
For example if you sentence is phrased as:
“Social media platforms do you use regularly. Give an explanation about the importance of reducing the time spent on social media”
In this example it could happen that the AI is not properly distinguish the question to link to the multiple choice list, therefore it might not show the multiple choice button.
You can re-phrase this instruction as:
“Start with: explanation about the importance of reducing the time spent on social media. Then ask: Which social media platforms do you use regularly?”
