Train the AI is one of the core features of Formless. It allows the AI to respond to your respondents' requests based on the different information you are "training" it with. There are different ways to train the AI: Snippets, URLs, and Documents (coming soon).

Take a look at this article for a clearer understanding of how to utilize this feature.

With an AI that has comprehensive knowledge, you can address many customer queries and requests efficiently.

<aside> đź’ˇ NOTE: Train the AI information will be shown only when the users ask for them.

The "Train the AI" section functions as a repository of information utilized by the AI to respond to respondents' inquiries. Here's how it operates: whenever a respondent asks a question, the AI searches for relevant information within the "Train the AI" section by matching keywords. If a match is found, the AI retrieves and provides the corresponding information.

However, it's important to note that the "Train the AI" section isn't always accessible to the AI. When formulating questions or outcome of a conversation, the AI primarily relies on the information available in the main prompt (i.e., the "Instruct the AI" section in the case of the Raw editor, or the “Overview” and “Journey” section in case of the Guided editor).

Snippets

In the Train the AI section, input snippets of information that the AI can utilize to answer respondent questions effectively.

You can add in this section all additional information that the respondents might ask.

Enhance your AI's capabilities by training it with relevant information about your product, service, company, and anything else your customers may inquire about.

You can also include links to external pages. These links will be displayed in the conversation as external links, allowing respondents to click on them and be redirected to the corresponding webpages.

You can add as many snippets as you want. Remember to save your changes every time you add a snippet by clicking Save Changes.

To delete a snippet, simply click on Remove.

Remember that your respondents can ask the AI any information, so it's always beneficial to have a snippet available where you can provide general instructions when the AI doesn't have the answer.

URLs

By adding URLs, you’re enabling the AI to answer questions based on linking webpages.

You can add a URL in this section and formless will automatically import and parse the page content.

Any pages linked within the URL you have set will be scraped and parsed up-to the max page limit you have set.

When you select to import more than 1 page from a URL you will have the option to restrict the formless website crawler to specific paths.

Example: if you want ensure formless only imports pages under a specific URL paths, like all pages in Spanish /es and all pages in English /en simply add these paths to the optional input field, as in the image.

If you don’t care or want everything under the main URL then you can leave this field empty.

Once you have submitted a URL, Formless will get to work importing the URL(s) in the background and will automatically update as they are processed.

While this process is running, feel free to close the tab, the process will not be paused. You can come back later.

You can remove URL(s) by clicking the little x on the right hand side of each URL.

Formless automatically ranks the quality of the URL content it has imported based on it’s readability and simplicity. This is denoted by 1 of 3 coloured circles.

Green = Good Quality / High Readability

Yellow = Average Quality / Okay Readability

Red = Poor Quality / Poor Readability

Readability rating can be affected by a few factors such as poor structure or complexity and should be used only as an indicator.

Example: if you are dealing with a complex subject and expect the users interacting to be asking complex questions or submitting complex information then you may want to ignore this indicator.
