Welcome to Formless! It’s the form without a form. We want to make data collection as easy and conversational as possible – this article shows you the basics.

These steps refer to the Guided Editor option. To learn how to build your form in the Raw editor version visit this page.

To get started, you'll need to create a Formless account. Follow this link to learn how to set up your account: Sign Up for Formless.

Once you have your account, log in to Formless. You will be taken to your Workspace, the central hub for managing your Formless’ forms.

In your Workspace, locate the + New formless button and click on it to begin creating a new form. A menu will appear with three options: **Start from scratch,** Choose a template or Just tell the AI.

• Start from Scratch: Choose this option if you prefer to build your formless from the ground up. It allows you to have complete control over the design and flow of your formless, tailoring it to your specific needs. You can choose between the Guided editor and the Raw one.
• Choose a template: For a quicker and more efficient way to create a formless, select one of our templates. We've crafted various formless examples that are ready to use. By clicking on any of them, you can access a pre-built conversation, ready for customization based on your needs.
• Just tell the AI: If you already have an idea of what you want to build but prefer the AI to do the heavy lifting, choose this option. Simply provide a brief description of your formless conversation, and the AI will define the Overview, Journey, and Welcome screen, getting you ready in no time.

Start from Scratch - Guided editor

To create your formless from scratch, click on Start from scratch. Begin by writing a brief description of the formless and add any relevant context in the Overview section. Here are some examples:

• A registration form for my potential customers to request a demo of my product
• A survey to discover the habits and preferences of surf lovers
• An application to join the certified NYC marathon training program. The duration of the program is 2 weeks
